Tax Department


The City of Keego Harbor Treasurer's Office mails out tax statements twice a year.  Informational tax statements are mailed to homeowners who have a mortgage company paying their taxes.  

Disbursement of Tax Dollars
The City of Keego Harbor Treasurer Office collects and distributes your tax dollars to the following entities:

  • State of Michigan
  • Oakland County
  • Oakland Community College
  • Oakland County Intermediate School District
  • West Bloomfield School District
  • West Bloomfield Library
  • Keego Harbor General Fund, Police, and Fire
  • Huron Clinton River Metro Park Authority
  • Oakland County Parks and Recreation, Zoo Authority, and Art Institute Authority

Summer Taxes
Summer City Taxes are due and payable July 1 through September 14 without penalty or interest.  The tax statements are mailed out at the end of June.

Taxes paid after September 14 will incur a 2% penalty and 3/4% interest per month.  Penalty and Interest charges accrue from July.

Deferred Taxes
Your summer tax payment may be deferred until February 14, if your total household income for the previous year was less than $40,000, and if you are any of the following:

  • Senior Citizen (age 62 or older)
  • Paraplegic/Quadriplegic
  • Eligible Serviceman, Veteran, or Widow/Widower
  • Blind Person
  • Totally and Permanently Disabled

If you fit the above criteria, fill out an application and send it to the City of Keego Harbor Treasurer's Office.  Proof of household income may be required.  Please note this application must be signed and received by September 14.

Winter Taxes
Winter City Taxes are due and payable December 1 through February 14 without penalty or interest  The tax statements, which are mailed out at the end of November, collect taxes for Oakland County Parks and Recreation, Zoo Authority, Art Institute Authority, and Huron River Metro Park Authority.

Taxes paid on or after February 15 add 4% penalty.

Beginning March 1, all unpaid taxes must be paid to the Oakland County Treasurer's Office, 1200 North Telegraph, Pontiac, MI  48341, with additional penalties   During the month of March, a revised statement from the City Treasurer must accompany your remittance to the County Treasurer.

Delinquent tax information can be obtained by contacting the Oakland County 24 Tax Hotline at 248-858-0025 or toll free 1-888-600-3773.  To access tax information you will need the last 10 digits of your parcel ID number.
