Planning Keego Harbor's Future
Keego Harbor's 2025 Master Land Use Plan establishes a long-term vision for how the community can grow, redevelop, and invest in the places that make the city unique. The plan builds on Keego Harbor's small-town character, lakeside setting, established neighborhoods, and commercial corridors while identifying opportunities for thoughtful reinvestment over the coming years.
Our Vision
The vision is for an inviting, close-knit lakeside community where thoughtful, sensible growth preserves Keego Harbor's small-town character while directing investment toward lasting opportunities and shared community benefit.
The Master Land Use Plan provides a framework for achieving that vision by encouraging:
- A more walkable and welcoming Cass Lake Road corridor and future downtown
- Thoughtful redevelopment that strengthens existing neighborhoods and expands housing and business opportunities
- Better connections between neighborhoods, businesses, parks, and the waterfront
- An active and attractive Orchard Lake Road corridor
- Protection and enhancement of Keego Harbor's lakes, natural resources, and community character
- Development standards that encourage high-quality investment appropriate to the scale of the community
