Local Networking

Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce The chamber explicitly serves Keego Harbor, Sylvan Lake, Orchard Lake, and West Bloomfield. Membership for a small business (1–20 employees) runs $235–$285 a year and includes networking groups, a weekly newsletter reaching about 800 contacts, and a directory listing. Join the chamber →

Oakland Thrive A nonprofit launched with Oakland County funding to support small businesses countywide, with particular focus on woman-, minority-, veteran-, LGBTQ+-, and rural-owned businesses. Oakland County Local Business Connect The County's own business development office — access to capital (including SBA loans), procurement assistance, workforce recruitment and training, and export support. Most services are free. Partners directly with Oakland Thrive for small-business consulting.

Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Free, ongoing one-on-one consulting on business planning, market research, and funding readiness.
