Curbside Waste, Recycling & Yard Waste Collection

The City of Keego Harbor contracts with Priority Waste to provide weekly curbside trash, recycling, and seasonal yard waste collection for residential properties.

Collection Schedule

  • Trash Collection: Every Monday
  • Recycling Collection: Every Monday
    • Recycle Bins are available for purchase at City Hall for $12.00, cash only.
  • Yard Waste Collection: Begins April 1 (or the first scheduled collection day after April 1) and continues through the first week of December each year.

Please place all trash, recycling, and yard waste at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

Yard Waste 

The City of Keego Harbor provides seasonal curbside yard waste collection through Priority Waste. Yard waste is collected weekly on your regular trash collection day during the collection season. 

Preparing Yard Waste

To ensure collection, please follow these guidelines:

  • Place leaves, grass clippings, flowers, and other loose yard waste in paper kraft yard waste bags or plastic containers clearly marked "Yard Waste."
  • Bundle small branches and tree trimmings securely with twine.
  • Bundles should be manageable for collection.
  • Do not place yard waste in plastic bags.

Accepted Yard Waste

The following materials are accepted for collection:

  • Leaves
  • Grass clippings
  • Flowers and garden waste
  • Small branches
  • Tree and shrub trimmings

Not Accepted

The following materials should not be placed with yard waste:

  • Plastic bags
  • Dirt, rocks, sand, or concrete
  • Tree stumps or large logs
  • Household trash
  • Food waste
  • Pet waste
  • Construction materials

Holiday Schedule

If your collection day falls on or after one of the following holidays, collection will occur one day later that week:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
