City Council Rules of Procedure

The Keego Harbor City Council is committed to conducting the public's business in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner. The Council's Rules of Procedure establish the framework for how meetings are conducted, how agenda items are considered, how public participation is accommodated, and how Council members work together to make decisions on behalf of the community.

These rules are designed to promote consistency, ensure compliance with the Michigan Open Meetings Act, encourage respectful and productive discussion, and provide clear expectations for elected officials, staff, and the public. While the Rules of Procedure govern the conduct of Council meetings, they also reinforce the City's commitment to open government and effective local leadership.

Residents are encouraged to review the Rules of Procedure to better understand the meeting process and opportunities for public engagement.
The City Council updated their Rules of Procedure in July, 2026.
