Parks & Recreation Master Plan

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) asks communities to adopt a five-year plan with a vision for future parks and recreation development. Plans typically include an inventory of existing park and recreation facilities, input from public engagement activities, goals, objectives, and action plans for meeting goals and objectives. Having this plan up to date not only helps the community assess the condition of facilities and understand resident interests and needs for recreation but is also an eligibility criterion for applying for DNR grants.
