Safer Exchange Zone

Safer Exchange Zone for Child Custody Exchange and Internet Purchase Exchanges

A new sign is up in the Keego Harbor Police Department parking lot. The lot is under recorded video surveillance and it is much safer (note - SAFER, nothing can be guaranteed as Safe or Without Risk) to make exchanges with unknown persons in a police department lot that is under surveillance. There is also the possibility of a police officer being there or arriving at any time.

Don't meet people you don't know behind a closed business, after dark, by yourself, carrying a lot of money, because you are "getting a great deal on a brand new iPhone" and they wouldn't meet you in front of the police station. (Yes, we've heard that scenario over and over in big cities and small towns all over the country).

Be smart and stay in the public eye when exchanging.
