The Planning Commission helps shape Keego Harbor’s future—how our neighborhoods evolve, where businesses grow, and how development connects with our lakes, parks, and public spaces. Its work supports City Council’s vision of thoughtful, sensible growth that preserves our small-town character while creating lasting opportunities and shared community benefit.
The Commission focuses on land use and the physical development of the city. This includes guiding the Master Plan, reviewing development proposals and site plans, and recommending updates to zoning regulations. Commissioners consider how housing, businesses, transportation, infrastructure, and natural resources fit together, with attention to community character, safe connections, environmental stewardship, and quality of life.

Public participation is an important part of this work. Planning Commission meetings give residents and business owners opportunities to learn about proposals, share their perspectives, and help inform decisions that will shape Keego Harbor for years to come.
